One planned route from removal to renewal
Contents are agreed first
We take only belongings clearly identified for disposal before work.
Insulation is handled separately
Old insulating material is contained and removed in a controlled way.
Fresh material starts clean
Replacement insulation follows after the dusty removal stages finish.
Empty the loft and expose the structure
Old belongings and worn insulation can make it impossible to see what condition the loft is in. We travel to Port Talbot for planned clearance, insulation removal and fitting work, starting with a survey of the access and contents. You identify every belonging selected for disposal before we begin. We then remove those items and handle old insulation separately, containing the material as it leaves the roof space. Once the joists, services and ventilation routes are visible, we can assess the cleared structure and prepare it for renewed thermal protection without building over hidden clutter.

Prepare a clean base for fresh insulation
After removal, we can fit new insulation with attention to coverage, suitable depth and open ventilation paths. The work follows a logical sequence, so clean material doesn't go down while dusty clearance is still underway. Before our Port Talbot appointment, please keep the route between the hatch and exit clear and move fragile items nearby. We also need to know about parking or narrow access that could affect the removal of bagged insulation and unwanted contents. Where health and safety checks are relevant, our provision includes a free asbestos survey.
Frequently asked questions
Can you remove contents and insulation together?
Yes, as parts of one coordinated project. We still treat them as distinct tasks because insulation requires controlled handling and containment, while you must identify the household contents selected for disposal.
How should we prepare our Port Talbot home?
Mark the items that need removal, clear the route to the hatch and move nearby fragile belongings. Please tell us about parking, stairs or narrow access that may affect carrying waste out safely.
Can fresh insulation be installed after clearance?
Yes. Once the old contents and unsuitable material are removed, we assess the exposed structure, services and ventilation. We can then fit suitable new insulation as the next agreed stage.
